Welcome to the 2020 Singles League!

• Each person is a 'team'.

• A player that is highly rated in 'doubles' is not necessarily a highly rated player in 'singles'.

• Some Divisions are small for a reason. We concentrate on level and not the quantity of players. We allow players to rate themselves the first time they signup. If they struggle we recommend a slightly lower level and vice versa. That is how we try to ensure that matches are competitive.

• The schedules and contact information will be sent to each participant along with instructions for recording scores on-line.

• This is a reciprocal league. Players are not expected to pay anything when they are visiting their opponent.

• Scoring - we are using the KSwiss scoring system:

The winner of each court receives 14 points for a 2-set win and 12 points for a 3-set win. The loser receives a point for each game won in their two highest scoring sets up to a maximum of 8 points for each match played. Example #1 - match score 6-4, 6-2, winner = 14 pts. & loser = 6 pts. Example #2 - match score 6-3, 4-6, 6-2, winner = 12 pts. & loser = 8 pts.

• Rescheduling - please contact your opponent as soon as possible if you need to reschedule. Players are not obligated to reschedule as this is not a flex league.

• Confirming your match - please email or call your opponent a few days before your home match.

• Recording scores - please record your scores as soon as possible following your match. If you are unable to record it, please email the results to: orly@palmtennis.com and the results will be recorded for you.
